Privacy Policy for Randoms Chat

Welcome to Randoms Chat ("the App"), operated by gigasonet ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and maintaining transparency about how information is collected, processed, and used within our anonymous, login-free communication platform.

By accessing or using Randoms Chat, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the App.

1. Information We Collect

A. Information You Voluntarily Provide

Randoms Chat is designed as an anonymous platform and does not require account registration, email addresses, phone numbers, or social media accounts to access its core functionality.

You may voluntarily provide the following information:

  • Usernames: A temporary or custom display name used to identify yourself within the App.
  • Avatars and Profile Photos: Images uploaded from your device or selected from available avatar options.
  • Communication Content: Messages, images, videos, and other content shared during conversations, random matches, or friend-list chats.

B. Information Collected Automatically

To support secure functionality, persistence, and service reliability without requiring traditional user accounts, the App may collect certain device-related information.

  • Device Identifiers: Android ID on Android devices and Identifier for Vendor (IDFV) on iOS devices may be used to maintain app settings, preferences, premium status, friend connections, and account continuity.
  • Advertising Identifiers: Google Advertising ID (AAID) on Android and Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) on iOS may be accessed to support advertising services.
  • Approximate Location Information: City-level and country-level location information derived from IP-based services may be used to improve regional matchmaking and service optimization.
  • Push Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) tokens may be used to deliver notifications and operational alerts.

2. Device Permissions

The App may request access to specific device permissions to enable functionality selected by the user.

  • Photos and Media: Required when uploading profile images or sharing media files in conversations.
  • Biometric Authentication: Used locally for optional app-lock features utilizing Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint authentication.
  • Internet Access: Required to support messaging, matchmaking, notifications, and cloud-based services.

3. How We Use Information

Information is processed to provide, maintain, and improve the App's functionality.

  • Maintaining user settings and preferences.
  • Supporting real-time communication and matchmaking services.
  • Managing premium subscriptions and entitlement verification.
  • Monitoring application stability, performance, and security.
  • Diagnosing technical issues and preventing service abuse.

4. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

Randoms Chat integrates trusted third-party service providers to operate essential features.

Infrastructure and Data Services

  • Firebase Authentication
  • Cloud Firestore
  • Firebase Realtime Database

These services support real-time communication, synchronization, notifications, and application infrastructure.

Media Processing and Storage

  • Cloudinary may be used to process, optimize, and deliver images and videos shared within conversations.

Subscription Management

  • RevenueCat is used to manage subscription status, purchases, and entitlement verification.

Advertising Services

  • Google AdMob
  • Unity Ads (where applicable)
  • Meta Audience Network (where applicable)

Advertising partners may use advertising identifiers and related technologies to deliver advertisements and measure campaign performance.

Where required by applicable law, consent preferences are respected and non-personalized advertising may be served when personalized advertising consent is not provided.

5. Security and Privacy Features

Randoms Chat includes several features designed to enhance user privacy and safety.

  • Media Blurring: Incoming images and videos may be initially displayed with a blur effect until manually revealed by the recipient.
  • Screenshot and Recording Protection: Certain areas of the App may restrict screenshots and screen recordings to help protect shared content.
  • Access Controls: Backend security rules are implemented to limit unauthorized access to user data and communication channels.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

A. Data Retention

  • Chat Data: Conversation information may be retained as necessary to support ongoing communication and synchronization across active sessions.
  • Profile Information: Usernames, avatars, and related profile settings may remain associated with the device identifier until removed.

B. Data Deletion Requests

Because Randoms Chat operates without traditional accounts, passwords, or email-based authentication, identity verification is required before deleting account-related information.

To request deletion of profile information, chat history, connections, and associated records, send an email request to:

To verify ownership of the account, please include:

  1. A screenshot showing the full Device ID displayed within the App's Settings section.
  2. A screenshot of your active profile or navigation drawer showing your current username and avatar.

Requests that cannot be verified may be declined to protect user accounts from unauthorized deletion attempts.

Verified deletion requests will be processed within thirty (30) business days, after which associated data will be permanently removed from applicable systems where technically feasible.

7. Age Requirements

Randoms Chat is intended for users who are at least eighteen (18) years old or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.

The App is not designed for children under thirteen (13) years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

If we become aware that a minor has accessed the service in violation of applicable requirements, associated data may be removed and access restricted.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect legal, technical, operational, or business changes.

Updated versions will be published within the App or on associated distribution platforms, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly.
